2024 Binational Health Week in Santa Clara County

The Go Kids Community & Parent Engagement Team participated in Binational Health Week (BHW). BHW is a multisector collaborative effort that began in 2001 with the goal of raising awareness and addressing the unique health challenges faced by Latino communities living in the United States and Canada. BHW occurs every year in October, bringing together community members, government agencies, and thousands of volunteers to host a series of health education and health promotion events focused on improving the health and well-being of underserved Latino populations.

In partnership with families, we believe in the uniqueness of each child and through active exploration initiated by both the child and teacher a child is able to understand his world, develop independence, and learn to make choices and express creativity.
